How do I let workers book their own visits?

Allowing workers to book their visits on your behalf on Mycare

For some users of Mycare, it may be more convenient for the worker to book their own visits on Mycare, rather than the Care Organiser booking them in.   Examples might be where the Client/Care Organiser has limited time or computer skills to book visits, or where the exact times are unknown and the Client/Care Organiser would prefer the worker to book visits (similar to 'submitting a timesheet) at the end of the week.

Before a worker can book their own visits the following is required:

  1. You must allow the worker to book via the Care Worker page of your account.

  2. The client account needs to have available funds, or a credit card added. Visits are charged at the time of booking.

Caution:  Allowing a worker to book means payment will be taken from your chosen payment method at the time of booking.  If accidental bookings/payments occur, please contact the Mycare team for assistance.

Points to Note

  • Any visits booked by a worker will need to be manually approved by yourself.  There is no auto-approval process for worker-initiated visits.

  • New contracts, first visit bookings and pay rate changes can only be initiated by the client.
  • For government funded clients, the worker will be asked to enter the type of budget you are using (HM, PC or R) at time of booking.  Please provide them with the correct information to complete this step of the booking process.
