Te Kahu Pairuri O Aotearoa (Hospice New Zealand)
Hospice provides holistic wrap-around care and support for people with a life-limiting illness, and their whānau/family. Hospice offers some of the best courses on palliative care to both qualified and unregulated/unqualified support staff.
Courses including-
- Hospice NZ Fundamentals of Palliative Care which is a combination of online learning and practical workshops delivered at your local hospice.
- Palliative Care Lecture Series is a monthly webinar featuring guest speakers. The lectures are delivered via webcast on the first Thursday of every month from February to December from 7.30 to 8.30am.
Cost - All online learning modules are free and easily accessible through Knowledge Hub
The monthly webinar is also free but does require prior registration at the Palliative Care Lecture Series for each webinar
The practical workshops may or may not have a fee charged depending on the location of the hospice. Each Hospice has the autonomy to set its own fees for workshops so you would need to call and check at your local hospice for exact costs.
