Using Government Funding on Mycare
In some situations, Mycare has arrangements with government agencies so that your funding directly pays for your Mycare worker - you won't have to use any of your own funds upfront.
In general, Mycare visits are paid for at the time of booking - this is so that our workers can feel assured that there are funds in place ready to pay them once a visit has taken place and been approved.
For certain types of Government Funding, we have worked with government agencies to pay Mycare directly, so you don't have to pay at the time of booking. The types of Government Funding where this can happen are:
-
Individualised Funding
- Choices in Community Living
If you receive a form of Government Funding that is not on the above list, feel free to contact our Customer Team, as we may be able to work with your provider to pay us directly.
If we do not work with your provider (this is usually where they will only pay the funding to you, and won't pay directly to us) then you would need to prepay for your visits and then claim back yourself.
